Salsa
I will readily admit it… I like the salsa. The salsa is mmgood. I have tried many different salsas - some homemade, some store-bought, and I rarely pass up the salsa at a party. My favorite? Chili’s. It’s not too chunky, not too smooth. It has it all. But, despite my best efforts, I have never been able to duplicate that salsalicious concoction at home. Nevertheless, this recipe is the closest I have come. It is a work in progress, but it never fails to get compliments.Truth be told, like all good recipes - this one isn’t totally “mine” yet. Based on one of those copycat recipes you find on the Internet, I have stepped this one up for a fresher taste.
Wake on LAN Over the Internet
You have broadband. You have an ssh server on your desktop at home. Your laptop has Wi-Fi. The coffee shop has Wi-Fi. You are just one private key exchange away from that file you left at home. Hmm… no response. Damn. That machine’s not on. You may not need it very often, but Wake on LAN is one of those technologies that pays off after only one use.
Secure Shell for Microsoft Windows
Most broadband users have come to rely upon their “always-on” Internet connectivity as a way of reaching out for information and interaction. The reverse path is often overlooked, however: Using a broadband connection to reach back into your home computer from elsewhere on the Internet gives the sophisticated user access to files and progams stored on their home computer. Secure shell (ssh) is a proven technology born in the UNIX community that can make this happen.
